Self-Disclosure Test
20 questions, 15-20 min

Do you tend to open up to and confide in the people in your life, or do you keep tight-lipped? The inability to share ourselves with others can prevent us from reaching high levels of intimacy. If we bare our soul at the drop of the hat, however, we can put ourselves in a vulnerable position. Self-disclosure and communication skills overall are important components of any healthy relationship, whether with family, friends or in romance. Find out whether your tendency to reveal personal information is helping or hindering these relationships with the Self Disclosure Test.

Fill in the questionnaire, responding as you truthfully would in such situations. If you have never been in one or more of the situations, respond as you most likely would. After finishing the Self-Disclosure Test, you will receive a detailed, personalized interpretation of your score that includes diagrams, information on the test topic and tips.

Special Instructions:
In certain situations, we refer to specific circumstances that may not apply to you, or where your response strongly depends on the person you are interacting with. In these case, use these tips:

  • If you are an only child, replace sibling with any close family member (cousin, aunt, oncle etc.).
  • When referring to your parents pick the one with whom you are/were closest.
  • When referring to strangers try to look for a typical situation.
